AlJazeeraEnglish | February 15, 2010 - The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend), has threatened to take up arms again, saying the Nigerian government has not stuck to its side of a ceasefire agreement.
The group's fighters laid down their weapons as part of a government-led amnesty deal in return for a promise of cash and jobs.
But with the president out of the country for medical treatment the deal has virtually collapsed.
