Protest hits AGM of Australian corporate toxic waste dumper Lynas

Uploaded by peterboyle53 on Nov 30, 2011 - Nov 30, 2011, Sydney, Australia: Greens Senator Lee Rhiannon addressed a protest was held outside the annual general meeting of shareholders of the Australian mining company Lynas because it is building a rare earths refinery in Kuantan, Malaysia, which will dump toxic and radioactive waste near a highly populated area. Local residents have been campaigning against the refinery. Three activists attended the AGM and made some sharp points before the shareholders, CEO Nicholas Curtis and directors.
