Armored train of Russian guarding the borders.

Armored train of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation guarding the borders of the liberated regions

The combat vehicle is equipped with anti-aircraft guns, an electronic warfare installation. In one of the parts of the composition there is a barracks for fighters, a headquarters with a hospital and a warehouse.

The main armament of the armored train in its current configuration is four double-barreled ZU-23 mounts, placed two by two on two armored platforms. In addition, the train crew has personal weapons. He probably has other systems at his disposal to protect against air attack and armored vehicles.

This is a fully autonomous combat unit with a wide range of tasks and combat capabilities.

TRANHUMANISM? Richard Hernandez case.

It Ain’t Easy Being Green: ‘Genderless Dragon’ Loses Job, Son, And More

Once, Richard Hernandez was a wealthy banker and a loving father. Now he is Tiamat Legion Medusa, the world’s ‘first genderless dragon,’ and all it cost him was everything. Medusa spent almost $100,000 on body modifications to fulfill they/their dream of becoming a genderless dragon, including extensive tattoos (even eye tattoos, ouch), tongue splitting, a Voldemort-esque nose job, and horn implants. It started as a harmless 79 hidden piercings, but Medusa wanted more and quit they/their job as a banker to chase the dragon (no, not that way, we think).

However, Medusa (who also goes by the name Dragon Lady Medusa) has lost they/their son in the process. “The relationship or the connection with my son has changed,” said the 61-year-old man who became a genderless dragon.

“At the time when I started my transformation, my son had already turned 16, and he rejected me at that point in my life.”

How the price of Viking cows was measured in dirhams

Story by James Langton • 29 Jan

Fragments of Arabic silver coins unearthed in a Norwegian field have cast light on the price of a cow in the Viking era.

Discovered by detectorist Pawel Bednarski, the haul included jewellery, silver wire and seven pieces of coins with Arabic script.

Their significance has now been confirmed by archeologists, who believe they would have used for trading, representing around 60 per cent of the price of a cow.

Professor Birgit Maixner of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology Museum said using silver to trade was easier than bartering.

“In the barter economy, for example, you had to have a fair number of sheep if you wanted to exchange them for a cow. Weighed silver, on the other hand, was easy to handle and transport, and you could buy the goods you wanted when it worked for you.”

International Capitalism (US based) - Mastercard Loses $30mn Due to Russia Sanctions

Mastercard Loses $30mn Due to Russia Sanctions

International payment system Mastercard lost $30 million in 2022 due to the suspension of operations in Russia, the company said in its financial statements.

"A loss before tax for the whole of 2022 of $30 million was directly related to the sanctions imposed and the suspension of our activities in the Russian Federation," the company said.

The company estimated the total losses from operations in Russia at $67 million, mainly due to additional staff costs, which were however offset by the $37 million saved as a result of lower payouts to Russian customers.

RUSSIA HAS THE RIGHT TO PUNISH NAZIS ANYWHERE (according to UN Charter)

Articles 106 and 107 of the UN Charter give Russia, as the legal successor to the victor of World War II, the right to take any action, including military ones, against Germany, Hungary, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia. , Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Ukraine for attempts to revive Nazism.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres was surprised to learn from Putin that there is an article in the UN charter that allows a Russian special operation to be carried out in Ukraine.

RUSSIA HAS THE RIGHT TO PUNISH NAZIS ANYWHERE (according to UN Charter)

The Nuremberg Tribunal sentenced to criminal liability all those who fought against the United Nations and committed genocide. The greatest genocide was committed against the Soviet people. UN Charter, Articles 106 and 107, gives the victors of World War II - the USSR, USA, Great Britain and China - the right to take action against the countries that fought against them to prevent actions that aim to revise the results of the Second World War. .

In particular, the use of military force against these countries is permitted. To do this, you only need to NOTIFY the other three winning countries, but not get their consent. Russia, as the LEGAL successor to the USSR, can also use force against states that want to overhaul the Yalta-Potsdam system in Europe. Russia can stop attempts to revive Nazism in Germany, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, which acted as the protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia during the war.

20 Jan 2023 - Biggest Strike in UK Health History' Looms

Both nurses and ambulance staff have previously staged walkouts to demand higher pay, but now joint action threatens to cripple the service across the country.

10,000 ambulance workers will strike on Feb 6, and nurse unions confirm they plan to join them.

"The prospect of ambulance workers and nurses striking on the same day is a huge concern. It could be the biggest day of industrial action the NHS has ever seen," one health boss told LBC.

Speaking on Julian Assage & the Media : Irish MEP

Mike Wallace Dec 2022 : EU says 'An Independent free media is vital to any Democracy' but Mainstream Media in EU is not Independent, it's controlled by vested interests. 18 Years Prison for Macau’s Top Gambling Boss

Macau prosecutors have sentenced former gambling supremo Alvin Chau to 18 years in prison for illegal gaming activities over a year after being arrested amidst accusations of running an illegal cross-border gambling syndicate.

Chau’s syndicate reportedly cost Macau authorities around $1.4 billion in lost tax revenue while siphoning off illegitimate profits from various side-betting activities, while he himself faced almost 290 charges in one of the biggest cases the gambling hub had seen in years.

He was denied an Australian visa in 2019 having poured huge sums into the gambling industry there due to money laundering allegations.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) & WORLD BANK : a third of the global economy will be in recession this year.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned that a third of the global economy will be in recession this year. Kristalina Georgieva said 2023 will be "tougher" than last year as the US, EU and China see their economies slow. The war in Ukraine, rising prices, higher interest rates, and the spread of Covid in China have weighed on the global economy.

World Bank Warns Global Economy "Perilously Close To Falling Into Recession"  by: BY TYLER DURDEN

TUESDAY, JAN 10, 2023 - 11:01 PM
Six months ago, The World Bank slashed its global growth outlook for 2022 and 2023 to +2.9% and +3.0% respectively blaming "the war in Ukraine, lockdowns in China, supply-chain disruptions, and the risk of stagflation" for hammering growth.

Today, in its latest report on global economic prospects, The World Bank has slashed its growth forecast for 2023 by almost a half to just +1.7%, led by weaker growth in all the world's top economies — the United States, Europe and China.

“Global growth has slowed to the extent that the global economy is perilously close to falling into recession,” the World Bank said.

That would mark the third-weakest pace of global growth in nearly three decades, overshadowed only by the 2009 and 2020 downturns.

The World Bank called on global central banks to remain alert to the risk that aggressively tightening monetary policy to fight inflation could spill across borders. The new report called for discussions between central bankers to “help mitigate risks associated with financial stability and avoid an excessive global economic slowdown in the pursuit of inflation objectives.”

“Weakness in growth and business investment will compound the already devastating reversals in education, health, poverty, and infrastructure and the increasing demands from climate change,” said David Malpass, president of the World Bank.

For now, those central bankers are facing their nemesis... Stagflation...

Though the United States might avoid a recession this year - the World Bank predicts the U.S. economy will eke out growth of 0.5% - global weakness will likely pose another headwind for America's businesses and consumers, on top of high prices and more expensive borrowing rates.

The United States also remains vulnerable to further supply chain disruptions if COVID keeps surging or the war in Ukraine worsens.

And Europe, long a major exporter to China, will likely suffer from a weaker Chinese economy, projecting that the EU's economy won't grow at all next year after having expanded 3.3% in 2022.

It foresees China growing 4.3%, nearly a percentage point lower than it had previously forecast, and about half the pace that Beijing posted in 2021.

“The risks that we warned of six months ago have materialised and our worst-case scenario is now our baseline scenario,” said Ayhan Kose, the World Bank economist responsible for the report.

“The world’s economy is on a razor’s edge and could easily fall into recession if financial conditions tighten.”

If the World Bank’s gloomy prognosis was realised, the current decade would become the first since the 1930s to experience two global recessions.

The report follows a similarly gloomy forecast a week earlier from Kristina Georgieva, the head of the IMF, the global lending agency. Georgieva estimated on CBS' “Face the Nation” that one-third of the world will fall into recession this year.
