Venezuela Arrests Contractor in US Navy bribery Case
Venezuelan authorities have arrested a fugitive Malaysian businessman on his way to fly to Russia under an Interpol red notice requested by the United States.
Leonard Glenn Francis, nicknamed 'Fat Leonard,' escaped his house arrest in the United States earlier this month. He is accused of bribing Naval officers with money, gourmet food and sex parties in exchange for classified information and contracts.
Francis pleaded guilty to bribery in January 2015 and agreed to forfeit $35 million in ill-gotten gains.
