The Russian Grain & Fertiliser deal :-

1] 21 Dec 2022 -  300,000 tons of Russian fertilizers are blocked in European ports. "Russia is ready to deliver them to needy developing countries for free (I repeat - FOR FREE). The EU does not dare to let this happen," the Russian permanent representative in Vienna said.   2] 19 Sept 2022 - Western countries are sabotaging the part of the "grain deal" concerning Russia.    "The export of Ukrainian food from the Black Sea ports should be accompanied by the unhindered export of our food and fertilizers," Russia's Permanent representative to the UN Nebenzia said. However, there is no progress in unblocking the export of Russian products to world markets. Since the beginning of the "food deal", 39 vessels with food have already left Ukraine. Most of them went to European countries. 3]

The events in Ukraine are not the cause of hunger, said the head of the Red Cross Peter Maurer.

Approximately 20 African states and 22 million people faced a food crisis much earlier, he believes.

Russia calls for "urgently and massively expanding assistance to people in need."

As Putin said last week, by concluding a "grain deal" with the UN, the West and Ukraine "brazenly deceived" Africa.
